"The Days We'll Miss" by Anthony Vega

This is where it all began

Before the photos, before the camera, before the business… there’s a story.

Hi, I’m Anthony — a husband and a dad of two.

Most of my favorite moments don’t happen behind a camera. They happen

at home, in the middle of real

life — surrounded by the

people who mean everything

to me. It’s the joyful chaos of

family: my toddler running

barefoot through the house with unstoppable energy, my teenage daughter dancing through the living room, chasing dreams bigger than herself. Music drifting through the rooms. Laughter echoing down the hallway.

And Jesus at the center of it all — steady, faithful, holding us together on the days that feel overwhelming and the days that feel perfect.

Because I’ve learned something about moments.

They don’t announce themselves as important.

They just happen.

The bedtime hugs. The messy kitchens. The tired smiles. The quiet prayers after everyone falls asleep.

They feel ordinary — until one day they’re memories.

And that’s where this all began.

Long before I ever owned a camera, I was a three-year-old kid in the kitchen, turning pots and pans into drum sets. I grew up surrounded by music. Rhythm was everywhere. Creativity wasn’t something I had to find — it was something I was raised in.

Through my teenage years, I was trying to figure out who I was — holding onto faith, staying close to church, keeping God at the center while the world felt loud and fast.

Music opened doors I never

could’ve planned. I played on

stages I once only dreamed

about. I traveled. I performed for well-known artists. I experienced moments that felt bigger than me.

But even then… something inside me was still searching.

After high school, I picked up a camera.

And for the first time, I realized I wasn’t just drawn to rhythm — I was drawn to memory.

I grew up in Los Angeles — a city full of motion, culture, and stories on every corner. The streets taught me to observe. The sunsets taught me patience. The diversity taught me empathy. Eventually life led me to the Inland Empire, where my wife and I began building something even more meaningful than a career — we began building a family.

And somewhere between becoming a husband, becoming a father, and becoming the man I prayed to be… photography stopped being about images.

It became about preserving what I now understand is fragile.

I spent eight years photographing for brands like Dr. Martens, Vans,

Fjällräven, New Balance, and UGG. I learned lighting, precision, branding,

execution. I learned how to

create images that sell.

But at home… I learned why images matter.

Because one day, my toddler won’t run through the house like that anymore.

One day, my teenage daughter will dance on bigger stages.

One day, the house will be quiet.

And the only thing left will be the photographs.

That’s why I do this.

Not for perfection. Not for trends. Not even for the art.

I do it because moments fade. Because time moves fast. Because memory is fragile.

And because the ordinary days we’re living right now…are the ones we’ll ache to relive later.

So when I photograph your wedding, your family, your brand — I’m not just taking pictures.

I’m protecting something sacred.

I’m preserving what matters. I’m capturing the kind of moments that don’t seem big…

Until one day they are.
